Old Manila Video

August 19, 2008

While online, I came across this video featuring the Old Manila.  Here in the video, we can see how clean the streets of Manila was during those days.  Funny thing though is we can notice that many Filipinos were wearing “americana”, I’m safely assuming that this was taken during the American occupation.  Few points we could extract from the video: 1. Philippines was progressive those year.  2. No traffic in the streets.  3. Buildings were few, so is pollution.  4.  People had discipline.  It’s always nice to see the glorious years of the Philippines (the times when neighboring countries envy us).  We could never bring back the past, but we could prepare for a brighter tomorrow, I believe.  I hope you were able to enjoy the video.

*The Old Manila video was lifted from YouTube .Thanks to ethangwaping for posting the video.

J: and make bridges and strutures for the military to face off rather than having them battle it out in the forests. That would be so useful…

Kuya Gelo: Nice post po, does it mean that filipinos tend to be more discplined when colonized??

Raffy: yeah, ang ganda ng dating Pilipinas.

moe: yep, and if there were vendors, they bring their merchandise with them. The way vendors of “kakanins” does so the streets were really clean that time.

J: hahaha!! You have a point ^_^

carlo: I think so, but I’m not sure. What I’m sure about is that Filipinos are more disciplined when they’re in another country. Most of them seem to obey the law..even traffic signs.
